Coping with Bullying

Help for young people Spain

Every day thousands of teenagers and children wake up afraid to go to school because of bullying. Bullies pick on people because they think it makes them look powerful, and bullies will try to find things about you that they think makes you look different. This could be your appearance, the way you dress, if you are shy, the country you are from, your religion or race, or even just because they think you are an easy target for them.

Bullying can be either physical or just verbal, and takes place not just at school but also online. Bullying makes us feel very lonely, weak, and destroys our confidence, which also makes it very hard to tell our parents or teachers.

If you are the victim of bullying and need someone to talk to in private then please feel free to try our 121 Chat support service. We will give you a secure username and password, and you can leave a private message for one of our counsellors. Nobody else will see it, and the response made by your 121 counsellor is for you only.
